LAST CALL!
This year's Men's Club Championship is fast approaching. It will be played this weekend; Sept. 3rd and 4th with tee times starting at 8:00 am.
In order to properly arrange the tee sheet we need to know how many players / tee times we will be using. To accommodate all players we ask that you sign up by Thursday night. You can just call the Pro Shop or use the Sign Up sheet in the hallway.
We will be coordinating flights and making pairings on Friday. Don't miss out!
5 - SOMES!
There has been a lot of discussion regarding 5 - somes since the beginning of the golf year. Bill Holt has instructed us to reconsider the matter for 2012. Moving forward we are asking all of you to give us as much constructive information; (Pro & Con); as you would like to share. After careful consideration of all viewpoints and shared data, and based on what we believe is best for Shadow Hills and the Membership, we will make the decision for 2012.
To better aid us in our process we would like the opinions and information in writing please. You can e-mail us at robertshgc@qwestoffice.net or just bring your info. to the Pro Shop.
As for now, 5-somes are allowed only during the the Nov. - March period. We thank you in advance for your help in this matter.
LADIES CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
The SHGC ladies competed in their Club Championship this past weekend. Kudos to those who competed and a job well done to the winners.

SO. COLORADO LADIES GOLF LEAGUE
Congratulations are in order for the SHGC Ladies Golf Team. Our ladies captured 1st place in the Gross division of the So. Co. Golf League.
The ladies bested teams from Valli Hi, Patty Jewett, Fort Carson, Desert Hawk, Petersen Field and Woodland Park over a 6 match schedule this summer.
Competing for Shadow Hills were Carrie Ary, Shirley Carey, Laura Clark, Peg Davison, Judy Ford, Bonnie Holt, Carolyn Lutz, Linda Metzler, Char Norbury, Jody Ovrebo, Dixie Reed, Winnie Sauer, and Nancy Steffy.
GLOW BALL
Several people have indicated that a Glow Ball event would be a nice way to end the year. If we can find enough interest we can schedule one around the 30th. of Sept. It would entail 9 holes of play starting around 4:30 - 5:00 pm; dinner; then 3 holes of Glow Ball after dark. This event would be open to all the members.
Fee would be in the neighborhood of $50 per team with the Dinner and prizes included in that amount. Please let us know if this should be something we should schedule.
